1. Know your social housing rights
June 11 @ 18:30 – 21:00
This event is part of a ten-session training series designed to help social housing residents understand their rights, how to stand up for them, and get better treatment and services from landlords.
In our first session, we’ll cover:
– Your rights as a social housing resident
– How to speak up and get involved
– Ways to listen to and represent your community
– How landlords make decisions—and what influences them
The session will include a mix of presentations and group discussions. We may use breakout rooms, and we’ll let you know at the start if that’s the case. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to share your experiences, ask questions, and connect with others. Closed captions will be enabled.
The main training will last two hours, followed by an optional 30-minute open space for networking and informal discussion.
Please note that bookings will close the day before the session.
