07. Handling your complaints

If you have a problem with your landlord, you have the right to make a complaint and expect it to be handled fairly, following clear procedures and within set timeframes. This includes:

  • The expectations placed on landlords by the Regulator of Social Housing and the Housing Ombudsman
  • How landlords must inform tenants about the complaints process
  • What a proper complaints process should include
  • What actions should follow once a complaint is received
